CLIP OF SENATE SESSION
(Jan 12, 2022)
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell criticizes President Biden's voting rights speech in Atlanta Tuesday, in particular the president's reference to the Civil War and Confederate President Jefferson Davis, calling it "rhetoric unbecoming of a president of the United States." He says the speech was "incoherent" and "beneath" the office of the president. "I have known, liked, and personally respected Joe Biden for many years. I did not recognize the man at that podium yesterday," McConnell says.
