🚨 Former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman highlights how the DOJ offered Hunter Biden a sweetheart immunity deal that protected him from foreign lobbying and money laundering crimes unrelated to what he was pleading guilty to:
"What DOJ did here is a racket to protect Joe Biden. A plea agreement by the U.S. Attorney's manual and DOJ policy must list all deal components. They didn't do that.
Instead, they put the most important part of the deal, the secret part, in a separate document. It's a diversion agreement. That agreement doesn't have to be revealed to the public. It can remain confidential.
The Judge merely asked a few modest normal questions, and a landmine occurred in this hearing, and the Judge started to get uncomfortable with what was going on. It's stunning.
The Judge asked the DOJ prosecutor have you ever seen an instance in which the DOJ has given immunity for crimes unrelated to what they are pleading guilty to, and this prosecutor said no, I have not.
They had to admit that there was an open investigation because they had previously told Congress there was an open investigation. Why did they do that?
Because they want to keep all that information away from Congress, arguing that they don't have to turn it over through FOIA.
All of this was supposed to be a nice packaged secret deal where two sides were on the same side trying to protect Joe Biden."
