In Walter Isaacson’s biography, Musk criticized lockdowns and government mandates from the beginning. On March 6, 2020, amidst the Covid panic, Musk tweeted, “The coronavirus panic is dumb”.

Subsequent events have vindicated Elon and demonstrated that he was on the right side of history.
