Agreed. most of the time the press told you, “they re-counted the ballots and found nothing wrong!” All that really happened is people sat at computer screens and looked at images. But the machines advertise their capability of “correcting” images. Such a recount does nothing.

BREAKING: The Attorney General of Kansas issued a legal opinion today saying it's illegal to use ballot images to conduct recounts! The actual paper ballot must be used!
"If an election recount requester asks for a hand count of the original paper ballots, the recount must be conducted in that manner and not by using ballot images instead"

Patrick talks about the precinct captains have a right to REQUIRE a HAND COUNT. After the ballots have ran through the machines (before the precinct captains sign a certification for the results). If they don't match don't sign to certify the results.
