“I am more empowered today, more focused today,” said Steve Bannon as he briefed the press following his release from prison earlier in the day. Mr. Bannon served a 4-month sentence for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the Jan. 6 Committee. He discussed prison reform and the impact the justice system has on Black and Latino males, comments made about Puerto Rico at a Trump campaign event, and election integrity among other topics. Mr. Bannon was released from prison just 7 days away from the 2024 presidential election
