Summary: Political news has never been "real" in the United States or anywhere else. Both sides push narratives (spin) and ignore context and inconvenient facts. (Obama was not a muslim and Trump is not Hitler.)
Bonus: The pandemic taught us 98% of experts can be on the same side and also lying or wrong. All it takes is knowing that going rogue is bad for your career. And it usually is.
